Anti-cheat is disabled, I've cleared the download cache, but it's still not working.

And, that list cannot even be filtered on item for individual titles, it shows items from all titles across Steam. I just downloaded the workshop update on my PC on Steam, but when I tried adding a workshop mod, it doesn't seem to work. This was quite the laborious task, to find the IDs in the log, luckily having the referenced items downloaded on an old PC, look through the files to see identifying information through the thumbnail, textures and model, and then browse through all my subscribed items to try and find the things that matches to finally unsubscribe.Īs the individual pages for the items is unavailable when the item has been removed it's impossible to unsubscribe by creating a direct link using the IDs from the log, now we have to find the items again in the list of subscribed items. Then you can easily boot up tower unite and play, all you need to do now is to be patient while steam downloads any queued updates, then when those are done it will move on to the workshop content and then the models should show in game and in the in game workshop window. In conclusionRemoved workshop items for SteamVR does not appear to get unsubscribed for users which gives them a download item that pops up when running SteamVR that blocks all other downloads.Ī solution? Cascade the removal to subscriptions so users don't try to download them anymore, or, just ignore trying to update removed workshop items. Personally i recommend the “always allow background downloads” option because then you’re guaranteed that it will download while the game is playing. SOLVED It seems to be a Steam Workshop glitch that is happening across many different games. Then head into the tower unite properties in the library and go into updates, then make sure that the background downloads settings is set to either “follow my global settings” (only works if the global settings allows downloads while playing) or “always allow background downloads”. I left it for like an hour and nothing changed. Therefore, I have no access to the on/off switch for the items and I am fairly certain that they have not been downloaded. Head into the steam settings under the downloads section, then click on the “allow downloads during gameplay” box so that steam is able to finish queued downloads while you’re playing a game. Steam Workshop mods do not install After subscribing to Workshop items in Steam, the items appear in-game under Steam Workshop, but not under Mods. Which leads to the workshop content not being downloaded because it has to wait for the game updates that aren’t being downloaded.

It seems that recent events might have had a part in the cause of this issue.īasically this happens because game updates on steam take precedence over workshop content when it comes to downloads, and sadly by default steam is set to not download updates while a game is being played.
